Eminem has laid his war of words with Mariah Carey to rest, but does he get in a last subtle jab? Eminem said, "You know what? I got to be honest. I really don't want to talk about her anymore only just because it's kind of like the last thing I said about her was on 'Cold Wind Blows.' I made the comment, ['Take a look at Mariah next time I inspire you to write a song.'], I don't want to keep beating a dead horse. I'm not even going to comment about it. I'm done with that whole situation. I said what I had to say. I'm done."

Could this be the long-awaited return of Lauryn Hill? So some are saying after she broke into the Billboard charts for the first time in over a decade. The former Fugees singer's track, 'Repercussions' entered at #94 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The song was leaked online last month and it's unclear if it's a future release, or an unfinished track from previous efforts - but some are saying it is an outake from her solo album, 'The Mis-Education of Lauryn Hill.' Lauryn was last on the Billboard charts in 1999 when her single with Bob Marley, 'Turn Your Lights Down Low,' reached the #49 position. They couldn't WAIT to put a Lauryn Hill song on a countdown...here is HOPING that she gets back in the game full time, since there is an opening for a REAL female emcee...

Fantasia Barrino's married lover Antwaun Cook has spoken out to defend the singer against allegations that she caused his marriage to fail. A statement released by Cook via his lawyer said, "Antwaun would be remiss not to address the criticism and judgment he has received," it went on, "He knew Fantasia Barrino but the failure of his marriage can in no way be blamed on anyone except the two people that were a part of the union – Paula and Antwaun."

Kanye West has been told that he doesn't need to attend a court date in connection to a case brought against him by former Death Row Records head Suge Knight. Kanye will be required to attend via conference call on August 26th but not in person as he will be abroad. Knight filed a million dollar lawsuit against West and the Shore Club in Miami nightclub where Kanye performed after the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards. The lawsuit Knight lost a $135,000 earring at the club before being shot in the femur during an altercation and he feels not enough was done to protect him. The pair and their lawyers previously met at a New York office building in June to discuss what happened but a resolution was not reached with Suge saying, " figured I could sit him down, man to man, and get this resolved. I'm disappointed."

Things have gone sour for Wyclef following his bid to become the next President of Haiti. The former Fugees frontman looks set to have his Presidential campaign derailed because he has not lived in the country for five consecutive years ahead of his bid. While Haiti's electoral commission has delayed until Friday its final decision on who it will allow to run in November's presidential election it looks unlikely that Wyclef's role as "roving ambassador" will hold much water. Wyclef has also confirmed that he's gone into hiding with his family in a "secret location" after recieiving several death threats from people upset about his run for Presidency.  Seems like he should have tried for being a senator or whatever is equal in Haiti, before thinking that he's big enough to be president there.

Sources say that rapper Jim Jones started a war with rival French Montana by throwing missiles at French during a performance last week. Not one to sit back French Montana replied in kind and allegedly sent some of his boys to Jim Jones' birthday party. Words were exchanged and bottles were thrown before the situation was calmed down...
