06.11-DRAKE USED BY RIHANNA, SCARED IN TORONTO
Drake has revealed how he feels that he was used by Rihanna following her public split from Chris Brown and also how he feels unsafe in his hiometown of Toronto since he was robbed in the city. Speaking on Rihanna, the rapper said, "I was a pawn. You know what she was doing to me? She was doing exactly what I’ve done to so many women throughout my life, which is show them quality time, then disappear," he added, "I was like, wow, this feels terrible." As for his hometown fears Shawn Gee, Drake’s business manager revealed, "The fact that Drake has a background that differs from your prototypical rap artist — from Toronto, multiracial, the fact that he was a child actor — corporate America, they’re attracted to that." However, Drake’s status has also made him a target and he was robbed at gunpoint at a restaurant in May 2009, "I feel unsafe in Toronto at all times," Drake said. "I’m a one of one. There’s no one else you can hate as much as me if you hate money, or you hate success."  He needs to be scared here in the US, too.  Drake had better man up, because this game is not for the weak...

06.11-LIL KIM CONFIRMS ROC NATION SIGNING

Lil Kim has confirmed that she has joined Jay-Z's Roc Nation as she hollered, "We Roc'n out…R-O-C-love baby!" Kim also had a chance to once again address the Nicki Minaj situation as she still feels Nicki given her the proper dues she deserves in the rap game, "I'm a real b*tch, I love working with my ladies….I did one of the biggest records, the first 'Ladies Night' records. At the end of the day it's just about respect. You come in the game you just pay homage to those who paved the way for you. When I first came in the game I had Salt-N-Pepa, MC Lyte, I had all of them in my videos. At the end of the day that's just what it's about. It's okay to say 'I love you. I love your style, you inspired me.'"Kim went on to state that she is not finished taking shots at Minaj, "It's gonna be part two, three and four tomorrow 'cause I gotta lot of sh*t to say. I gotta story to tell, I don't just go off for no reason, but stay tuned. Mine is way deeper than the cattiness, the female thing that everybody may think it is 'cause I showed straight love and I threw up a white flag." Elsewhere Kim went further into why she was taking aim at Nicki Minaj, "For the last year, she's been subliminally taking shots at me, subliminally taking shots at the other girls in the industry and I mean come on, we read that interview where she said 'Oh, being that the other rap chicks in the game ain't got sh*t to do right now, when I'm by the pool, they can feed me grapes,' I remember that sh*t," Kim continued, "I keep my ears to the street at all times. Just because I do my Hollywood thing and my Malibu Barbie thing don't mean my ears ain't to the streets at all times. The last thing she did that was very subliminal, 'Oh, did I kill the Queen?' and Puffy is sitting right next to her vibing with that bullsh*t. Come on, we ain't stupid. Let's go all the way back, when she started doing all my songs over. There were certain interviews she was doing and my fans were getting upset, because she was busting shots at me, actually she was throwing pebbles - it's obvious I'm who she wants to be, it's obvious that she likes me and wants to be like me but she's not paying the homage. It's obvious that she likes my music and that she's trying to mimic what I'm doing, she's subliminally busting shots."  This is why FEMALE rappers will never see the same success as their male counterparts...

06.11-RUMOR CHECK: OBAMA NOT TAG TEAMING

A rumor has been spreading that U.S. President Barack Obama appeared in the video for Tag Team's hit record 'Whoomp (There It Is).' A man in the video who is wearing a Compton hat and talking on a cell-phone one minute into the video sparked the rumors but spokesperson Kate Bedingfield simply said, ""It’s not him." Shall we all move on now?
Why would President Obam, even in his wildin' out days, appear in a Tag Team video?

06.11-TALIB KWELI DEFENDS SLIM THUG

Talib Kweli has spoken out to defend assertions made by Houston rapper Slim Thug that black women are obsessed with how much money a man has rather than anything else in a relationship. Talib said, "I think the people that are really angry are people who are taking the comments out of context and they're not really reading the whole blog. And when the commenters are reading it, they're really looking to see what's wrong with it anyway. Somebody hit me online and said what they got from it is he hates them and I didn't get that. What I got from the blog is here's a man who's confused about relationships and that wants to support the black family and that wants to see black relationships doing good. And at the end of the day when you take out all the generalizations, he's really saying that black men and black women have to have better communication and respect each other more. He's calling everyone to task." Slim Thug had previously spoken on the state of relationships between black men and women in America, saying, "My girl is Black and White. I guess the half White in her is where she still cooks and do all the sh*t that I say, so we make it. She just takes care of me and I like that. She don't be begging and I don't gotta buy her all this crazy a** sh*t...White women treat they man like a king and Black women feel like they ain't gotta do that sh*t. Black women need to stand by their man more. Don't always put the pressure of if I'm f*cking with you, you gotta buy me this and that. Black men are the ones that motherf*ckers need [but] I think a lot of them need to step it up too. A Black man who gets a little bread will go make it rain in the club and be broke the next day or instead of him going to invest in a business he gonna go buy new jewelry or a new car and still live in the hood. Black peoples' mentality is real f*cked up in general [and] it's affecting everything...Black women need to be more genuine and be more 50/50 [but] It should be a fair exchange in a relationship period or eventually somebody is gonna feel like they're getting f*cked over whether it's the woman or the man. I think that will help Black relationships out a lot."   We can't take Slim Thug serious on any level, when he was caught out in the streets gettin' something inappropriate done to him...
