07.12-KELLY TALKS BEYONCE COMPARISONS

Kelly Rowland spoke out on being compared to fellow Destiny's Child, Beyonce. However, it seems that Kelly is not pleased with the comparisons when talking on her new music, saying, "People can’t think of anything more intelligent than to compare. And that’s only natural, I understand. That’s just the way the industry is, so you find a way to make things your own. But even though this sound sounds like nothing she’s done, people are going to find something to say. " Kelly added, "I think it’s important to know who you are and if you don’t, you’re gonna let people dictate who you are. I think that it’s not what people want it to be, and people will continue to make up stories. But I’ll give people a reason not to compare us with this record."  Unfortunately, they may never let Kelly come into her own...

07.09-BEYONCE HAS CLOSE CALL WITH LONDON CAB

Beyonce had a close call when she was stepping out of a car in London recently. Reports say that the singer had a lucky escape when she opened the door of her car without looking and a London taxi ripped ity off it's hinges. Beyonce and husband Jay-Z were going to nip into Harrods for a few things when the taxi hit her Mercedes, missing her by inches. A source revealed, "It was terrifying to watch. It all happened so quickly, the taxi came out of nowhere. She seemed very shaken and was lucky to be alive. A couple of seconds difference and God knows what could have happened." The couple had to cancel the shopping trip and instead headed straight to Knightsbridge's Japanese restaurant Zuma for dinner. A replacement car was sent to pick up the couple and drop them at the restaurant. So there it is, look before you open the door people...

07.09-LYFE JENNINGS TALKS CHILD SUPPORT

Lyfe Jennings has spoken up about child support. The father of three has children by two different women and seems to have caught the wrong end of the child support rap, but the question is, does he have a point or is he just sounding bitter? Lyfe revealed that sometimes he feels like ha has 20 baby-mothers out there as he (half?) jokingly said, "Anything that has to deal with the legality of your kids, get it right because people, not just women, are finicky. They’ll tell you something and they mean it at the time, but then as time go on things change. It’s so much cleaner and easier when you just get the stuff right. Shout out to my 20 baby mamas, I wish you well. My baby mama always trying to send me to jail, that’s her goal in life. My other baby mama she cool. She wants me to be involved in my child’s life, but both of them are just spoiled and I take full responsibility for that ’cause I spoiled ‘em. But now I’m trying to spoil me." He went on, "I hate to jump out on people because I know Nas. That’s my little partner right there and I done dealt with that [same type of] situation as [him and] Kelis before, but come on. It seem like females just be wanting the dude to suffer. It’s hard. They want him to pay, what, $50,000 a month? Do you realize that this dude bill is probably at least $30,000 a month so 50 plus 30? And then taxes is 50% so this man has to turn around and make $160,000 a month just to have his bills paid. That’s crazy hard to keep up. That ain’t cool. Why not get a job? Let’s do it together. I look at it from her side, too, because I guess she felt like, 'I dealt with this for all these years and a lot of success that he’s had, a lot of I guess physical success came from me making sure his mental success was here.' So she’s entitled to something, but she ain’t entitled to all of it." The singer concluded, "I hope everything work out for everybody who has baby mamas and I hope they change these laws to stop letting women and men—’cause some men be filing for child support, too—but stop letting them make a living off child support and start requiring them to get a job. I done dealt with chicks before and maybe two, three weeks in they start asking about stuff, 'Oh I can’t really come by because I gotta find out how I’ma pay this rent and I wish somebody would help me out.' I be like, 'Well take as much time as you need because that rent really need to be paid.' [Laughs]. There’s gotta be a co-op. I’ve been in the situation where it’s crazy stuff. Insane. I will not do that again. Paying for everything, credit cards that you pay and clothes, cars—people get spoiled."

07.09-SNOOP AND SHANTE TALK MARRIAGE

Snoop Dogg and his wife, Shante Broadus, spoke out about their relationship and how their daughter's illness actually saved their marriage. The couple's daughter, Cori, has battled against Lupus but the life -threatening illness brought Snoop and Shante closer together. The rapper actually filed for divorce back in 2004, citing irreconcilable differences but they reunited months later, with Snoop withdrawing his legal petition. They went on to renew their vows in 2008. Snoop admits that it was Cori being diagnosed with Lupus in 2005 that acted as a turning point, while Shante revealed, "Without (Snoop), I don’t know what I’d have done. It’s amazing how this all turned out. We were gonna get a divorce. But we wouldn’t have gotten through it (the lupus diagnosis) that way." Snoop added, "That’s what it boiled down to. Cori’s lupus showed us we need to be together forever." Snoop went on to reveal how they turned to a marriage counsellor but he would still retreat to the recording studio and cry over the failing marriage, "You always think it’s gonna happen to someone else. Some days in the studio, I’d just cry. It was the only zone I had to express myself." Snoop went on to explain how he is amazed by how strong Cori, now 11, has been in her fight against the disorder, which caused her hair to fall out and affected her weight. Snoop explained, "My daughter is the love of my life. When she’d lay in bed saying, ‘My brain hurts’, it bothered me so much. I felt helpless… (But) she’s the toughest little thing I’ve ever met, even with the needles." Cori has been able to enjoy a normal childhood despite the Lupus with Snoop revealing, "She’s on the honour roll, playing volleyball and softball, living life. She has all this joy. In the beginning Lupus was winning. But now Cori is." In other Snoop Dogg news, word has it that the rapper might make an appearance on British soap opera 'Coronation Street' with word saying the rapper has asked his agent to see if he can get on the show. Snoop has apparently been watching the long-running soap opera for 11 years. Producers said they are interested, said Snoop, "so hopefully, it might happen. It would be perfect for me to be on the show."

On another note, Snoop, couldn't be faithful even if he tried, so if she calls saving her marriage, Snoop being with a woman and caught on camera in every state, then so be it.  She seems like a great girl, and staying with someone for the sake of staying with them is not the business.  Period.
