Jennifer Hudson will return to her hometown of Chicago to sing on The Oprah Winfrey show Friday. The Grammy and Oscar winner has performed at several high-profile events, including the Super Bowl and the Grammys, over the last month. But this marks the first time that Hudson will sing in Chicago, since her mother, brother and nephew were killed in October. Hudson will reportedly sing "If This Isn't Love" from her self-titled album. The Grammy winner will kick off her first solo tour on April 2 in Philadelphia alongside R&B singer Robin Thicke. 02/26-RIHANNA PREGNANT? WHITNEY HOUSTON REACHES OUT

Whitney Houston has reached out to Rihanna - urging her to get out of her relationship with Chris Brown. Whitney, who had her fair share of domestic upheaval while married to Bobby Brown was said to be close to tears when she heard about Rihanna's altercation with boyfriend, Chris. A source revealed, "Whitney told her, 'Whenever you let your heart rule your head, you are bound to run into trouble,'" adding that Whitney told the Umbrella star, "Don't make the same mistakes I did." In other news, it is being reported that, just days before the now infamous scuffle, Rihanna went to get checked out at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after confiding to close friends that she suspected she was pregnant with Chris’ baby. Of course there is no word as to how true this rumor is, or if she was actually found to be carrying Chris' child...

02/26-DMX ATTACKS GUARD - FACES 8 YEARS FOR ASSAULT

DMX has not had the best start to his prison sentence. Having already been put on 23-hour a day lockdown in Arizona’s Tent City prison facility, the Yonkers MC is said to have now attacked a Sheriff’s detention officer and may now face felony aggravated assault charges. Word has it that if authorities decide to take action, the Yonkers MC could face up to 8 years behind bars. DMX is currently serving a 90-day sentence for drug, theft and animal cruelty charges.

02/26-T.I. TALKS ON SNITCHING VS. COMMUNITY RESPONSIBILITY

T.I. has caught flak from certain parties after he spoke out in support of an ATL crime stoppers PSA. Drawing the line between what he sees as community responsibility and snitching, the rubber band man explained, "I ain't trippin', can't nobody challenge my integrity...I ain't told nobody to go and get yourself in trouble and tell on somebody to get yourself out of trouble. I said man, if there's an old lady walking down the street and you see her getting knocked down and beat up, call somebody and do something about it. I don't see that as snitching man, I see that as being responsible for your neighborhood. Anybody who disagree, so be it. They can shove it up they a** sideways if they don't like it. I don't care." Good for him - the stop snitching movement seems to simply aid criminals and undermine society. T.I. is right with us.

02/26-50 CENT EXPLAINS HIS ALBUM BEING PUSHED BACK

50 Cent's album release has been pushed back to make way for Eminem's own upcoming release. 50 explained, "Right now I'm on the train and the Em choo choo car goes first. See what happens is I think that people forget that I'm actually Eminem's artist because I've had so much success on my own and I moved away from it. But if you can look back, the very first interview I did...we were on the set of 'In Da Club', it was myself, Eminem and Dr. Dre...I said my goal was to fit in with Eminem and Dr. Dre. I didn't mean to fit in under Eminem and Dr. Dre. I meant to fit in as an equal party. And that's what I achieved over this time period. So because Dre is mixing Em's album, Em will be completely entirely before we get a chance to finish up the pieces me and Dr did together." Fair enough...
