09.07-T-PAIN HITS OUT AT JAY-Z

Looks like T Pain is standing up for his autotune career after he reportedly went off at Jay-Z while at a club in Las Vegas. Brooklyn rapper Fabolous revealed T-Pain's ire using his Twitter account when he typed, "Yo I'm at Rehab (club) in Vegas.. T-Pain is DJ'ing.. Sayin F**k JayZ, he old, blah blah.. guess its backlash from D.O.A." perhaps T Pain is feeling the fear of his career dropping off under the Death Of Autotune backlash while his baby-mama is looking for some child support?  Is it us, or does Fab seem like he might be an instigator...we're just sayin'...though, we AGREE with Jay Z...D.O.A....it's 'DEAD ON ARRIVAL' that AUTOTUNE! Autotune should kick rocks, period.

09.05-JAY-Z TALKS GROWN-MAN RAP

Jay-Z spoke out about rapping into his forties as well as the state of hip-hop for an adult audience, saying, "No matter what I do, any person that gets to this stage of their life is going to do whatever is in their heart." He continued, "I think people should make music as long as their heart is in it. As long as they're pushing past the deadline four times and they're still making more records. Like, there are thousands of boxers that could have retired before they had that fight, Muhammad Ali for one. But you never stop - because of one, your passion or greed, your financial situation, there may be a need, you know? The thing that I can do is stretch the subject matter. Whether 'Kingdom Come' was your favorite album or not, '30 Something,' you have to deal with that subject matter [in that song]. If [the target audience is] 15 to 25, that's too narrow. What am I going to listen to at 26 and beyond? That's a quarter of my life. That's such a small slice of the pie. We have to expand the genre. I would love to listen to hip-hop all day. Of course, now there are other things making their way into my CD changer or iPod, because of the lack of material. It doesn't speak to me. Everyone is speaking to the kids, thinking that's the key to success. The sad part of it is that all these [rappers] saying it are 30 years old, at least. Sometimes 35. It's misleading. It's that lack of growth that will keep us in a certain place." Real talk...the craziest part is that we would rather hear Jay wit' his 40 year old self, then some of these other cats that's in their teens and 20's and sound like garbage.

09.05-JAMIE FOXX'S PCP NIGHTMARE

Jamie Foxx recently spoke out about his college days and a time when he had his drink spiked with PCP, revealing that he fears flashbacks from the drug to this day. The teenage Foxx was studying at the United States International University when his drink was spiked by an aquaintance. Jamie explained, "I was drinking whiskey and it didn't taste funny, so I had no idea. It took about 15 minutes and I knew something was wrong. I said to my roommate, 'Something is going on, and I don't know what it is, but I'm going to ride it out.' That was the last thing I said, and then I was almost in a coma and I couldn't move, couldn't talk, couldn't even say, 'Take me to a hospital.' My friend could see something was badly wrong and he took me to the emergency room. (He) stayed with me. Then he took me back to the dorm and I was afraid of the dark and he would talk to me every night and calm me down and say stuff like, 'You're Ok, the demons aren't real.' He saved my life." Foxx went on to explain how he may still suffer after-effects from the drug, revealing, "I read up on PCP after it happened. It leaves a fingerprint and you can't get it out of your system. It happened to me when I was 18 and I had 11-months of harsh flashbacks, and then when I was 26, and another when I was 32, and that was the last one. But I always worry about it coming back. You're afraid of the dark, afraid of things you see on television, you feel that things are coming at you. I felt paranoid, and paranoia is craziness. It's not good." It's good that Foxx can speak out on this - it may make someone else think twice before experimenting with the drug...

09.05-D12 MEMBERS OWE BIG IN BACK TAX

Word has it that two members of Eminem affiliated Detroit rap group D12 owe thousands of dollars in unpaid tax. Kuniva is said to owe $137,702 while Kon Artist owes $61,501. Speaking on the debt Kon Artist said, "I'm not questioning the IRS. It could have been a combination of not paying enough (taxes), it could have been them not accepting enough write-offs…Take my publishing checks. I'll make money elsewhere…I'm done with them at the end of the year."
