According to Forbes.com, Jay-Z is this year's biggest earner in hip-hop after he pulled in a phenomenal $63 million over the past 12 months. This is the second year in a row that Jay-Z has taken home the plaudits with his income placing him into the 35% tax bracket. This means he’ll pay about $22 million in tax this year, which is more than the total earnings of any other rap star besides second-ranked Puffy. Here is the list in full:

Beyonce was once again asked about starting a fmily with husband Jay-Z but is clearly looking to wait until she is ready, as she revealed, "My ambition is to continue to learn about the world and to eventually have a family." However she revealed that people need not hold their breath while they wait, saying there are "no dates, no times – it will happen when I am ready." Beyonce revealed that she will need to find the time to balance her life so she can commit fully to having a child, "I love so many different things, and to have the discipline to turn certain things away and focus on one thing at a time so that I can give it 100 percent is really hard," adding, "Probably the biggest challenge in my life is time – making sure I have time to be a wife, to be a singer, to be a songwriter, to be an actor and still have time for my clothing line and now for my perfume [Heat]." However, while babies are on the 'to-do' list for Beyonce, she did explain how much her female friends mean to her, explaining, "I love being a woman and I love being a friend to other women. I think we learn a lot from our female friends – female friendship is very, very important. It’s good to support each other, and I do try to put that message in my music."

Actor Laurence Fishburne has distanced himself from daughter Montana in the light of her releasing a porn DVD. The budding porn-star spoke to her father who unsurprisingly was not best-pleased with his daughter's new career choice. Montana revealed that her dad said to her, ""I'm not going to speak with you 'till you turn your life around," adding, "You embarrassed me." As his final words Laurence revealed the depth of his embarrassment, saying, "You used your last name. No one uses their real name in porn." We saw this coming...  She's jus an attention whore, and using her last name, we guess she thinks will bring her more visibility...she needs to find Jesus...period.  In the end, only God can judge us, but her motives are purely for attention.  In the words of rapper, Project Pat;  'Don't save her, she don't wanna be saved.'

Lil Wayne has released another letter from within Rikers island where he is serving time for gun charges. He wrote, "What's poppin?! Me, I'm good, figured I'd update my glorious fans again…Well ain't nothing going on in here but the time, which seems like it's taking forever. I'm trying to make the most out of every second tho, mentally….Last night, I kicked ass in UNO!..Gotta stay hydrated….though it's hot, I still work out. Now don't be expecting me to look like Hercules when I get out, but I should be a little bulky. I guess." Wayne went on to tell Chris Paul of the Charlotte Hornets that he should join the Lakers while also shouting out Lindsay Lohan, "Anyways, please remember to always check for your name in the 'thank yous.' I'm always reading letters and responding. Off the subject but hey Chris, I think you should team up with Kobe! Go Lakers! Hey Lindsey, glad it's over doll. I should have written her huh? Young Money, you're the best I ever had. Look out for 'Nino 3,' and 'I Am Not A Human Being.' Coming soon." To close the letter, LIl Wayne shouted out his four children Reginae—the daughter of Toya Carter - Lil Tunechi Jr.(Dwayne Michael Carter II) - his son with Sarah Vivian, Kam - his son with Lauren London, and lastly baby Neal—his son with Nivea, "Mother, I love you. Nae, you're my angel. Lil Tunechi Jr., you're the man. Lil Kam, you're the best heartbreaker. Lil Neal, you're the littler meatball. I love you all!" 

LOL at him shoutin' out all of his children...just think, before he sold a million copies in a week, he didn't have all of these kids...we guess that he really does think that if he loves a woman, he'll bless her with a seed...seems interesting, but nonetheless, dude seems like a good father.  Keep ya head up, playa.

Ja Rule has spoken out about his ongoing gun possession charge, which stems from an arrest in New York back in 2007. Speaking on his ongoing legal battle, Ja Rule revealed, "It's been a crazy three years going through this situation. [Lil] Wayne will be home in November. I'm still facing... a lot of time. So, I've got to mentally put my mind on it and work toward... God will see me through it. I've got a good family, good people around me. I got a lot of mottos I live by, man. 'Don't get mad, get money.' 'Persistence outweighs resistance.' I just try to stay focused throughout all the bullsh*t and keep pushing. As long as I've been in this business it's been a struggle. Ain't nothing been easy. Even when we were doing 3, 4 million, it wasn't easy. It was a fight to the finish, and this is going to be the same thing. Right now it's no different."

It didn't take long for DMX to be arrested again after his release from jail after police pulled him over for speeding minutes after his release! The rapper was driving a rented Mercedes down Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles when police stopped him and also discovered that he didn't have a valid driving license. DMX was not arrested but was handed a citation and is to appear in court again soon...
