Sean 'Puffy' Combs is facing legal action after a former employee claims she was fired for her age and a medical condition. The $12 million lawsuit was filed in New York Federal Court by Francesca Spero, a "51-year-old-white woman" who argued with Puff after revealing that she needed hip surgery in 2008. Furthermore Spero, who was Vice President of Management and Publishing at Bad Boy Records, "suffered a relapse" in an addiction to prescription medication and alcohol. Spero is suing Puffy, saying that he attempted to freeze her out of her position at Bad Boy before she was finally fired in March of 2010. Puffy allegedly replaced Spero with a woman who lacked her skill set and was 10-15-years younger. Puff denies the charges.

Of course he denies the charges, but we don't doubt that this isn't true.

Soulful crooner, Maxwell, is said to be more than a little vexed with Kanye West amid rumors that the rapper stole his girlfiend. Maxwell had been dating model Selita Ebanks for nearly six months with a source revealing, "They were trying to keep it out of the public because they wanted it to last . . . they really cared for each other." However, it seems that Kanye West crept in and did the dirty on friend Maxwell, "Kanye and Selita were sneaking around behind Maxwell's back. This is crazy because they were all friends. For Ye to do that is beyond grimey." The source went on to reveal that Maxwell is not looking to take this lying down and that Kanye should watch his back, "He'll get his though, Maxwell is no punk."

Of course this is all rumor and hearsay, but if it's true Kanye gets no respect... Making off with your friend's girl is just plain low.

Is Nicki Minaj the final hope for solo female rappers? Nicki seems to think so, as she revealed in a recent interview, "They [major labels] won't look to sign other female rappers if the project doesn't do well. Because they're gonna say 'well, her buzz was so crazy, if she couldn't do it no one can do it'. I don't want that to happen so I'm doing this for all the girls." Nicki Minaj also revealed how she was worried about breaking out as a solo artist, saying, "For a long time in my life, I was afraid to be a solo female rapper, because everyone told me, 'It doesn't work. It's not going to happen. Record companies are never going to invest in you just to get it. Just be part of a group.'" Maybe Nicki has a point about how the major labels will see female rappers - but let's not stretch the point - if she fails it'll only be until the next 'hot' female MC comes along... Isn't Lauryn Hill coming back?

If she's the last hope, then females need to call it quits right now - if this is it for our memories of female rappers, then we'd rather not have any memories at all.  Saw BET's documentary, and they still haven't begun to scratch the surface of WHAT the real deal is behind femaler rappers and why there aren't any now that have arose to true stardom.  We've supported female rappers that we have known are better than Minaj in the past - but it's up to the individual to want to go futher - so, we guess, in defense of Minaj, she saw a niche and she made it happen.

Beyonce has denied rumors that she was getting ready to ditch her father, Matthew, as her manager. The 'Crazy In Love' singer was rumored to be passing her career management duties to husband, Jay-Z, and was also said to have fallen out with Matthew following his infidelities and divorce from her mother. A statement was released refuting the rumors, saying, ""Contrary to false rumors online, Beyoncé and her manager Mathew Knowles unequivocally have had and continue to have a close personal and business relationship. Mathew Knowles is the sole and exclusive manager of Beyoncé."

Good for her - daddy, in this case, didn't raise no fool.  NO ONE is going to bully the game for her like her pops has - NO ONE.  On another note, hope that Bey is re-inventing herself, because what's she's been doing for over a decade is not going to work the next go 'round...people need to see and hear something different.

T.I. and his wife, Tiny, were arrested for possession of a controlled substance - namely Ecstasy. Police say they found what appeared to be ecstasy in T.I. and Tiny's car after they were pulled over on Sunset Strip for making an illegal U-turn. Police say they searched the vehicle after smelling marijuana. Police revealed that they only found a "small amount" of Ecstasy and are testing the pills to check what they are. Tiny used her twitter account to thank well-wishers following the arrest, saying, "Jus wanted 2 say thank u 2 every 1 dats been leaving encouraging msgs & prayers! We love u guys ;) Going 2 bed now! So glad 2b n a nice clean bed $ (sic)."

The question is, if you know you are carrying controlled substances in your car why would you draw attention to yourself by making an illegal maneuver?  We hope that T.I. realizes that life is not a joke, and that he is already treading on very thin ice with the law - 'live ya life,' play boi, and stop even putting yourself in any of those compromising situations.  Live is not 'Takers,' it's real life.

Rihanna has been recreated in wax by Madame Tussauds.  Although she was not present at the unveiling of her waxwork figure, she donated an outfit which she wore to a Balmain show in Paris last Fall.  Rihanna is a beast - though she looks a bit like Raggedy Ann with the red hair, her swagger is always 1,000.

Despite the resounding success of his last album, Paper Trail,' Grammy winning rapper T.I. knows where his fame stems from. The self-proclaimed King Of The South is looking to reconnect with the streets with the release of his next single. T.I. revealed, "My next song ... I'm not even sending it to radio first, I'm going to work it from the streets to the clubs. Then as DJs ask about it, I'll deliver it to them. I'm gonna go all the way back to grassroots. I feel that people right now feel I'm going so far over their heads, given my prior success with Paper Trail. They feel like I'm trying to leave my foundation and my demographic behind, which is far from my intention...[I'm gonna release a new song] probably this week - don't look for it on radio, but online and in the streets and in the clubs, you can look forward to a record. A record called 'Pledge Allegiance to the Swag.' I'm just trying to feed the streets right now."

This saga is getting out of control! Word has it that hip-hop plaything Kat Stacks has called the FBI in against NBA player Carmelo Anthony. As previously reported, Carmelo used his twitter account to offer $5k to anyone who chin-checked Kat Stacks after she questioned his marriage to wife LaLa. Carmelo went on to delete his account before saying it had been hacked. Using her own twitter account, Kat responded, "Don't you ever put my life and my son life in danger!" Stacks continued, "Just filed a police report on @CarmeloAnthony," concluding, "So the FBI getting involved since its an internet case." We can understand her concern, but surely she has been endangering herself for months with her actions???

We hope that the FBI has sense enough to view some of the footage that she's been posting on the Internet - I.e. IF Soulja Boy really had coke in his room and she was around it - then call DHS on that simple whore ... her seed is going to be motherless if she continues down her downward spiral of distruction.  These street cats don't care who you call - Carmelo might care because of his career, but we bet his goons (yes, guys that he probably grew up with that still have 'hood ways and nothing but time on their hands), don't.  One thing that she is succeeding at, is having us talk about her crumby behind everyday, knowing that she is both dilusional and simply not even worthy of being a thought in even a monkey's brain.

Ice Cube released the tracklisting for his forthcoming album, 'I Am The West.' However, in doing so, he revealed that he could not find time to connect with Dr. Dre on the project, "I didn't get a chance to work with Dre on this record. He's been M.I.A. for two to three months now. But I don't feel bad, because Snoop can't find him either." More tellingly Ice Cube gave an insight into what may be taking Dr. Dre so long to release his anticipated 'Detox' album, "I think, really, it's because people expect so much from him. People expect, when Dre does a record, it [will] change the trajectory of music. Not just be an album and it come out and be good. It has to come and take us in a different direction. And that's a lot of pressure." Ice Cube's latest full-length is due out September 21st with the following track-list slated:

Hum, Dre is putting pressure on himself.  If he doesn't release that album soon, and he takes a decade to release it, and it doesn't live up to the hype - then that is far worse than if he released it after only a year, and it doesn't live up to the hype - people would understand why.  The album, truthfully, hasn't been released and it's already 'played out.'  Hope that he changes the name of it...Detox has been ran in the ground, just by us journalists asking other people when they think that the album will drop.

Beyonce Knowles is said to be dropping her father's management company after his bitter divorce from her mother. A source reveals that Beyonce and father, Matthew, have been "drifting apart" both personally and professionally, "Since the [divorce] of her parents, her relationship with her father is becoming strained." But the differing opinions also seep into her career as, "she wants to stay edgy and relevant, where her father wants her to make more 'mature' music." Word has it that a split is imminent - but who is due to step in and manage Beyonce's career? A source revealed, "Jay Z and his team will operate as [Beyonce's] management."

Don't think that anyone will manage her career better than her dad - not even her (and you're really supposed to watch your own career), but that man has done enough shady things to protect the interest of his daughter and something tells us that Jay won't do that.

The forthcoming biopic of the late Tupac Shakur has already gathered the talents of 'Training Day' director Antoine Fuqua and James G. Robinson, the chairman of Morgan Creek productions. Adding to their talents are Oscar-nominated screenwriters Stephen J. Rivele and Chris Wilkinson. The film, which is to focus on the rapper's final days leading up to his death in Las Vegas, is to contain a series of flashbacks, but the signing of Rivele and Wilkinson could be ashrewd move. Wilkinson admitted that he "knew nothing" about the late hip-hop legend before coming on board could give the biopic a fresh perspective. Speaking on Tupac Wilkinson said, "It became clear that he was essentially a 19th century Romantic poet who found himself in the 21st century ... an artist whose character is at odds with his medium ...a really sensitive, very romantic, talented young poet who also could sing, dance, and act. But the realities [of the hip-hop record business] were that he had to create this persona of the gangster." Nobody has been signed up to play Tupac in the biopic but word has it they are looking for an unknown face for the starring role. 

We hope that whoever they get, really looks like Tupac - unlike the Tupac that was in Notorious.

NBA player Carmelo Anthony hit the headlines after he apparently used his twitter account to threaten Kat Stacks - offering $5k for someone to slap her. However, Carmelo quickly deleted his twitter account and the message itself too. He has since reappeared on the networking forum, saying that his account was hacked, "I'm back on! My account was hacked. Thanks twitter for getting me st8. Jst finished my first movie in China now I'm headed back the the States." No doubt he is trying to distance himself from what could be considered the criminal threat he made against Kat Stacks. However, it is likely that he did post the original $5k twitter as wife LaLa was cosigning his words on her own twitter account at the time. That said he could probably manage without getting into legal trouble over the attention-seeking skank that is Kat Stacks...

We're Team Carmelo - give us the 5 g's and we won't back pedal.  We'll probably spending on praying for the silly bird at a Benny Hinn convention.

It seems that confidentiality is worth it's weight in gold for LeBron James after details emerged of an alleged agreement the NBA star has with the mother of his child. Sources say that LeBron's girl, Savannah, has signed a $25 million deal with LeBron. Word has it that Savannah gets the money if the pair split up as an insider explained, "It's actually a paternity/confidentiality agreement, many NBA players have it with their child's mothers. But LeBron's is a lot more detailed and Savannah gets a lot more than most." The details of the deal are that Savannah is not allowed to go public on details of her relationship with LeBron in exchange for the money. Does it sound like he has something to hide?

Love this girl, and we're sure tha she deserves every dime of it...

Lady GaGa caused a little storm when she admitted to drug use in an interview with Vanity Fair. In an effort to clear up the publicity storm GaGa has spoken out on her cocaine use again, saying, ""[By using drugs] I really figured out the art I wanted to make and was inspired." She continued, "Some people find inspiration in dark places. I guess I’m one of them. What always made me different is that if I was doing drugs I was also making music. I wasn’t just doing drugs." Lady GaGa previously said that she only uses cocaine "a couple of times a year" these days and decided to clarify, "Once you open those doors they’re open for ever." However GaGa went on to seemingly contradict herself once more, saying, "people who say they need [drugs] to be creative are full of s**t," adding, "I’m not some chick on the road getting high and f***ed up every night. I wake up, drink coffee and get on the phone to talk about the creative direction of the next video." While GaGa tries to cover up any PR damage it seems not everyone is impressed with the revelations, as Janice Dickinson complained, "As a recovering addict who knows how dangerous occasional use is, I can think of no reason for Gaga to reveal this to her young audience," continuing, "she is a f**king idiot. The way she mentioned cocaine, I think she should really get spanked. You can damage and hurt kids. I’m appalled." Perhaps GaGa shouldn't have brought this whole mess up again?

Rapper Mos Def is facing legal action after faling to turn up to perform at a show in Toronto back in February. Promoters, REMG Entertainment, claim Mos suddenly backed out of the scheduled concert the day before it was due to go ahead and kept his $12.5k deposit. REMG claims to be a further $45,000 down for "lost customers, sales, and goodwill" and are suing Mos and his people for at least $57,500.

Mos Def is one of the illest emcees, but, um, he shouldn't be missing any appearances...

T.I.'s movie 'Takers' was the highest grossing film at the box office last weekend, raking in $20.5 million. The independent crime drama boasts a cast including Matt Dillon, Paul Walker, Hayden Christensen, Idris Elba, Zoe Saldana, Chris Brown and T.I. T.I. and Chris Brown acted as executive producers for the movie which was produced by Rainforest Films and T.I's Grand Hustle Films. Rainforest Films co-founder Will Packer was pleased with the weekend's takings, saying, "It's really an incredible testament to the power of the people. Hollywood expected us to do closer to $10 million since we were smaller and on far less screens [than our closest competitior]." Congratulations to everyone involved.

Snoop Dogg and Spike Lee were just two names in attendance for a celebration of what would have been the 52nd birthday of Michael Jackson. Last weekend saw Snoop take to the stage at the 2nd Annual "Brooklyn Loves Michael Jackson" party. Snoop, who was given a sparkly glove which he is intending to take home to Cali with him, performed his own hits coupled with remixed Michael Jackson classics.

Word has it that Young Buck has been released from his contract with G Unit. Young Buck was kicked out of the G Unit crew back in April 2008 but was held to his contract with the label, leaving him unable to release any music commercially.  However, following a campaign of blasting his former label for blocking his career, it seems that Young Buck is now free. While it has yet to be officiallly confirmed, if true this is certainly a good look for Young Buck, who can now work on reigniting his career.  Here's hoping that he pays more attention to his career now...'cause the dollars have to make cents (sense)!

Lauryn Hill brought the stars out to play during her performance on the 'Rock The Bells' show at Governors Island over the weekend.  Lauryn performed the Fugees track 'Fugee-La' while inviting a whole heap of celebrities to the stage throughout her set.  Those joining Lauryn included Mary J. Blige, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Chris Rock and Jay-Z who hopped onstage after a little convincing. Seems like Lauryn still has an impact with her peers.  Other performers at the star-studded event included Wu-Tang Clan, KRS-One, Slick Rick, Snoop Dogg & A Tribe Called Quest.  C'mon, Lauryn, the GAME NEEDS YOU TO MAKE SOME NEW MUSIC, MA!

Hotel heiress and socialite Paris Hilton was caught in possession of cocaine while with her boyfriend in Las Vegas. Boyfriend Cy Waits, was booked on DUI charges while Hilton took the possession charge. Hilton has hired David Chesnoff to defend her and was let go on her own recognizance. Paris has apparently said that the bag in which the cocaine was discovered was not hers. This may be true, but don't you get the feeling that if she was just a regular girl she wouldn't have walked away quite so easily?

It is amazing to us how Kim K came in and took ol' girls shine, though.  See how people will turn on you in a blink of an eye.  These chicks need lives.

NBA player Carmelo Anthony revealed he is not the man to play with after hip-hop groupie Kat Stacks questioned his fidelity to wife LaLa. A twitter-based beef escalated with Kat Stacks and LaLa trading barbs before Carmelo stepped in and said "I got 5k for whoever see @ihatekatstacks and slap the sh*t out her pigeon face ass. Real talk. U f*cked with the right one now." Carmelo later deleted his twitter account and will no doubt renege on his 5k offer - but at least he shows he is not playing...

Again, another stupid Twitter move - HOWEVER, we agree a million percent with Carmelo.  That dumb broad is going to find herself murked in a dark alley if she doesn't stop playing with people lives.  She doesn't understand that cats get murked for anything these days, so who is going to save her.  Don't know why she's risking her life like this - and the people around her are just as lame for not saving a ho*.  Though, all of these cats runnin' up in her are playing with their lives, too.  We wish that she would just fly south for the winter like the rest of the birds.  Period.  Really feel bad for this misguided soul of uselessness.  She needs to be on a quest for learning how to talk and realize that people are not lauging with her, but most definitely at her.  Carmelo offered 5 K for just slappin' her, but it's kids killin' for $4.00 these days, so what do you think they'll do for 5 grand?

Drake and Nicki Minaj dropped a bomb on the world of twitter by announcing that they had got married. Drake tweeted, "Please refer to @nickiminaj as Mrs Aubrey Drake Graham and don't stare at her too long. She's finally mine. :)" Shortly after Nicki followed up by tweeting, "Yes, its true. Drake and I tied the knot. RT @drakkardnoir @nickimanaj Baby I am never scared. PROUD is more the word I would use." Hmmm, yeah right, did someone say publicity stunt? Don't believe the hype as Drake's reps denied that the rumor was true while Nicki Minaj later tweeted, "Dear Barbz, My husband Drake and I have decided to have our marriage annulled. We'll maintain joint custody. Luv, HB." The question is, what's wrong with hip-hop these days, with artists acting like school kids?

Just goes to show how we fall for anything, and with Twitter being the demonic force that it is - it is easy to feed lies to people, and for people to run with it.  Twitter gives people an excuse to say stupid things - afterall, how much can you say in 140 characters.  It's allowed for entertainers to say the most idiotic of things, and we believe it.  Bottom line, who cares.

Is Fantasia Barrino pregnant? So say friends of the singer, with one revealing, "She’s about three months along, and it’s definitely Antwaun’s baby." The family friend continued, "Right now she can’t show how happy she is in public — but she’s absolutely thrilled. Fantasia got what she wanted. She feels Antwaun will have to marry her now." Reports say that Fantasia is looking to marry married man Antwaun Cook as soon as his divorce from wife, Paula, is finalized. What's more, sources are saying that Fantasia's recent suicide attempt was actually a ploy to get Antwaun to come running, "Fantasia took the pills, but she knew what she was doing," a source revealed, "Fantasia had no intention of taking her life. I think it was just a plot she cooked up to push Antwaun’s buttons. And it worked… Fantasia is a master manipulator… when Paula finds out Fantasia is pregnant and Antwaun is the father, she’s going to flip… [meanwhile] Fantasia is very pleased with herself." However, Fantasia has spoken up to say that she is getting a lot of bad press - and it is all due to her appearance. Fantasia was asked if she felt her African features led the media to portray her in a more negative manner than other females with controversial love lives, such as Britney Spears, LeAnn Rimes or Alicia Keys. Fantasia responded, "Yes, I do. I really feel like it does. I was on Nancy Grace, CNN, every gospel station and in every magazine and every newspaper," she continued, "It was on. You would have thought I was the President or something." Fantasia went on to say that she feels she has been kept out of many popular celebrity magazines because of her looks, "They never put me in those magazines [featuring] the red carpet. Everybody there has long hair and everybody is bright-skinned, and I was like, ‘But wait a minute. They never gave me that.’ That bothered me,’" adding, "And then I tried hard to find people to dress me and they still would not put me there [in those magazines]." So, depending on how you take it, Fantasia is either manipulative or she is hard done by. Or maybe a bit of both?

Fantasia's low self esteem is always going to win over her success.  She needs to stop focusing on men to make her happy, and focus on that beautiful child of hers.  Antwaun Cook would not have wanted her if she were not Fantasia - the American Idol Winner.  Period.

Chris Brown was congratulated by a judge over how well he is handling his probation. A brief progress report left a judge pleased with Brown's efforts as he has been attending all of his court-ordered domestic violence counselling sessions and "working consistently on finishing his community labor. In fact the judge even said Brown had been doing a "good job." Looks like he has learnt his lesson and is growing up too...May we please move on - the boy has learned his lesson...

Is Halle Berry pregnant again? So say rumors coming out of London, where she is filming a movie. Word has it that Halle went to see a gynecologist who confirmed the pregnancy. Halle is currently in London with daughter Nahlia and her ex, Gabriel Aubry. So the question is, if Halle is pregnant - who's the daddy?  Or she could just be bloated - geez.

Jay-Z opened up about his friendship with Gwyneth Paltrow's husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, as well as his desire to have children. Jay is on vacation with wife Beyonce, alongside Chris and Gwyneth, but the rapper revealed he would not have been friends with Chris back when he was living in the Marcy projects, "That’s a different scenario. He [Chris] couldn’t walk through Marcy," jay revealed, "I was a different person then. I wasn’t open to the world and to cultures." Jay-Z explained, "I would have been, ‘Yo! Who are you? Give me your money.’ You couldn’t have a guy like Chris walking through Marcy. He’d have to get robbed. At best." However, Jay revealed how Chris and Gwyneth, who were invited to his marriage to beyonce in 2008, have inspired him to seek a strong family life, "They are a really cool family with beautiful kids, who happen to be good at the jobs they do." So does Jay-Z want children of his own? "Kids?" he replied,"Of course."  He is telling the truth - when your money changes, so does the people that you hang around, otherwise you will be back where you started - it's called evolution.  Jay is a good blender.

German singer, Nadja Benaissa, was found guilty of knowingly spreading HIV by a German court. The 28-year-old broke down in tears as the conviction was read out, although she was not handed any jail time for the charge of causing bodily harm to her ex-boyfriend by having unprotected sex with him despite knowing she was infected with HIV. Benaissa was given a two-year suspended sentence and 300 hours of community service. The singer acknowledged what she had done, saying it was a big mistake, "I’m sorry from the bottom of my heart," Benaissa said, "I wish I could turn back time and make everything undone, but I know that he will never forgive me." Benaissa had faced up to ten years behind bars.  Selfish broad - and this goes out to anyone else that knowingly spread diseases to others - be a fool by yourself.

Neptunes producer Pharrell Williams has sued Gilmar Group, the parent company of the 'Iceberg' clothing line, on behalf of his own 'Ice Cream' clothing line. Pharrell claims that the Gilmar group has blocked the trademark application for his clothing line, in effect not allowing him to produce pieces for his collection. The Gilmar Group state that the block is due to Pharrell's brand being similar to their own and fears that similarities would "confuse" consumers. Pharrell's lawyers have counter-claimed, saying that the word slang term 'Cream' - which means money - "creates a vastly different sound, appearance, meaning and overall commercial impression." Pharrell Williams launched his Ice Cream collection in 2004, along with his other brand, Billionaire Boys Club.  How you get Iceberg out of Ice Cream - we don't know.  Both names are corny for clothing lines.  If that is any consolation to either parties.
